Frequently Asked Questions

We hope that these FAQs answer some of your initial questions about our community. Please Contact Us for more information or to schedule a tour.

“Is Assisted Living on Broadway a secured home? How many people do you serve?”

Our assisted living home is secured for memory care. Residents have a doctor’s order to live in a secure environment. We can have a total of 12 residents at the community.

“My loved one has memory issues but doesn’t wander.  Do they really need a secured community?”

Assisted Living on Broadway specializes in the needs of those with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other memory issues.  Residents do not have to have exit-seeking behaviors to benefit from a memory care setting.  Memory care involves an additional level of protective oversight compared to typical assisted living.  Daily records are kept for each resident regarding food and hydration, sleep patterns, moods, behaviors, concerns, etc.  Any changes are documented and the resident is assessed by the RN Administrator and primary care provider for health related issues that may be the cause.  Many people with memory loss cannot express pain or concerns appropriately, so we become their “eyes and ears” to detect any conditions that may need medical attention.

“What sources of payment do you accept? Do you take Medicaid or Medicare?”

Residents may be private pay, or participants in the Innovage PACE program upon admission. Assisted Living on Broadway does accept Medicaid for payment after at least 2 years of private pay, and when there is availability for a Medicaid recipient.  (Please inquire for further information regarding Medicaid.)  Medicare is for health care insurance only and cannot be used for assisted living services. Private pay residents can use sources such as long-term care insurance or the VA benefit of Aid & Attendance to supplement their payments.

“How much does it cost? Do you charge depending of the level of care?”

Please inquire for our current rates for a private or a shared room. We are considered moderately priced for memory care.  The monthly rates are all-inclusive, meaning there are no additional charges for care services, meals, snacks, laundry, housekeeping, etc.  Medications and visits from medical professionals can be coordinated by Assisted Living on Broadway, though any payments associated with these services (or to insurance companies) are the responsibility of the resident’s personal representatives. We offer the convenience of outside services such as hair styling, dental hygiene, and foot care that come to our residents here at the home. These services are optional, and all costs are at the expense of the families/representatives.

“Does Assisted Living on Broadway have other locations? Are you part of a national assisted living corporation?”

Assisted Living on Broadway is a locally owned and operated memory care community. We are not owned by a large parent company. The RN Administrator/Owner is on site on a regular basis and manages the day-to-day operations. At present, our home in Littleton is our only location.
