Personal Experience & Family Roots
We aren't a corporate chain. Iren grew up in a family that has run assisted living homes for two decades, and she has personally navigated the journey of a loved one with dementia. We understand the guilt, the worry, and the love that brought you here—and we treat your family like our own.

FAQ
Yes, our community is secured to ensure the safety of residents with memory impairment. A physician’s order is required for residency to comply with state regulations for secured environments
Our assisted living home is secured for memory care. Residents have a doctor’s order to live in a secure environment. We can have a total of 12 residents at the community.
Assisted Living on Broadway specializes in the needs of those with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other memory issues. Residents do not have to have exit-seeking behaviors to benefit from a memory care setting. Memory care involves an additional level of protective oversight compared to typical assisted living. Daily records are kept for each resident regarding food and hydration, sleep patterns, moods, behaviors, concerns, etc. Any changes are documented and the resident is assessed by the RN Administrator and primary care provider for health related issues that may be the cause. Many people with memory loss cannot express pain or concerns appropriately, so we become their “eyes and ears” to detect any conditions that may need medical attention. More info can be found on https://www.alz.org/
We accept the following payment sources:
Private Pay: Including Long-Term Care Insurance and VA Aid & Attendance benefits.
Innovage PACE Program: Accepted upon admission.
Medicaid: Accepted only after a resident has privately paid for at least two years (subject to availability).
Note: Medicare covers medical insurance only and does not pay for assisted living rent or care.
More information about Medicaid and Medicare can be found here.
Our rates are all-inclusive. Unlike many facilities, we do not have hidden fees or escalating charges for increased care needs. Your monthly rate includes care services, meals, snacks, laundry, and housekeeping. See more information at one of our blogs here.
Assisted Living on Broadway is a locally owned and operated memory care community. We are not owned by a large parent company. The RN Administrator/Owner is on site on a regular basis and manages the day-to-day operations. At present, our home in Littleton is our only location.
Absolutely. We strongly encourage families to bring familiar furniture, photos, and keepsakes to decorate the resident’s room. Creating a familiar environment is comforting and helpful for those with memory loss. We can provide a list of suggested items to bring upon move-in
We pride ourselves on maintaining a high staff-to-resident ratio of 1:6. In many larger facilities, this ratio can be 1:12 or higher. Our lower ratio allows our caregivers to spend more quality time with each resident and provide truly personalized attention.
Yes. Our goal is to allow residents to “age in place” so they do not have to move again as their condition progresses. We work closely with local Hospice agencies to provide palliative and end-of-life care, ensuring your loved one remains comfortable in their familiar home environment.
Resistance to hygiene is very common in dementia. Our caregivers are trained in gentle, non-confrontational techniques to encourage cooperation. We focus on building trust, timing care for when the resident is most relaxed, and maintaining their dignity throughout the process. We never force care; instead, we step back and try again later.
Yes. Our community is specifically designed for these behaviors. Our secured environment prevents unsafe wandering, and our staff is trained to manage “sundowning” (confusion or agitation in the late afternoon) using redirection, calming activities, and adjusting lighting or noise levels to reduce anxiety.
Medication management is completely taken care of by our staff. We handle the ordering, storage, and administration of all prescription and over-the-counter medications in accordance with physician orders. This ensures your loved one takes the right medication at the right time, preventing missed doses or overdoses.
Because we are a small community, communication is direct and personal. We will notify you immediately of any significant changes in health or behavior (such as a fall or illness). For general updates, you are always welcome to call or text the Administrator or the house phone. We view our relationship with families as a partnership.
