Why Choose Us

RN-Owned and Managed

Unlike facilities run by business administrators, our community is RN-led. This ensures a focus on safety, proper medication management, and a deep understanding of the medical complexities of dementia

Personal Experience & Family Roots

We aren't a corporate chain. Iren grew up in a family that has run assisted living homes for two decades, and she has personally navigated the journey of a loved one with dementia. We understand the guilt, the worry, and the love that brought you here—and we treat your family like our own.

Memory Care Amenities

Large hallways and industrial dining rooms can be terrifying for someone with memory loss. Our community is a single-story, intimate home designed to reduce "sensory overload." It’s a place that smells like home-cooked meals, feels like a private residence, and is easy to navigate, which significantly reduces anxiety and fall risks.

All Inclusive Pricing

We eliminate complex billing and hidden fees so you can focus entirely on your loved one's care. Our transparent pricing structure offers Shared rooms starting at $5,100 and Private rooms starting at $6,100

Feedback from family members

This care team was like family to my Mom. She was happy, engaged, loved, and appreciated. They totally got her quirky sense of humor and adored her for it. Meals and snacks were posted and healthy. Since I lived near by, I would just drop in to visit because it was her home, just like I did in her Independent Living apartment. I was always welcome and usually greeted with a hug. If activities for the residents were planned the staff had me help out if I wanted (like art) or participate (like sing-alongs). I wholeheartedly recommend this home to anyone looking for a similar experience for their parent or loved one.

What a wonderful place for our father to get assisted living. All the residents were always happy, engaged involved. It was lovely. It’s an adjustment for everyone, but they make it so simple and for the cost unbelievable. The staff goes out of their way to help and keep everyone happy.

My mother resided at Assisted Living on Broadway for the past 18 months. She received excellent care from their professional, caring, and tireless staff. The facility was immaculately clean, and my mom looked nice every day. The smell from the kitchen always made the facility feel like home. The price was very reasonable, especially for the high level of care received. Recommended highly.

We had looked at several facilities with the help of a consulting service, and landed on Assisted Living on Broadway due to the proximity to our home, the cleanliness of the facility, and the disposition of the care team. While it is not a big facility, Iren and her staff were always very friendly and accommodating to our requests. They worked well with the other service vendors (physical therapists, visiting medical service, etc) so it was always easy to get updates on how mom was doing and any medical issues that she was experiencing. Mom made several friends during her time there, and enjoyed all of the social activities that they arranged, as well as being able to spend time outside in the garden area. She also enjoyed the food that they prepared as she always had a clean plate after every meal.

My mom has been living here for almost 5 years and I just can't say enough great things about this assisted living/memory care home. My mom has lived in a couple of other larger homes throughout her dementia journey - and I never thought a smaller, family-owned home like this would be a good fit. Boy was I wrong!! My mom has flourished in this smaller, more intimate environment where the caregivers and staff treat her like family. The staff handles all the day to day needs of my mom, so I don't have to worry about a thing. I can honestly say my mom seems happier than any other time of her life. I am thankful and grateful every day that a friend told me about this place many years ago!

FAQ

Is Assisted Living on Broadway a secured home? How many people do you serve?

Yes, our community is secured to ensure the safety of residents with memory impairment. A physician’s order is required for residency to comply with state regulations for secured environments

Is Assisted Living on Broadway a secured home? How many people do you serve?

Our assisted living home is secured for memory care. Residents have a doctor’s order to live in a secure environment. We can have a total of 12 residents at the community.

My loved one has memory issues but doesn’t wander. Do they really need a secured community?

Assisted Living on Broadway specializes in the needs of those with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, and other memory issues.  Residents do not have to have exit-seeking behaviors to benefit from a memory care setting.  Memory care involves an additional level of protective oversight compared to typical assisted living.  Daily records are kept for each resident regarding food and hydration, sleep patterns, moods, behaviors, concerns, etc.  Any changes are documented and the resident is assessed by the RN Administrator and primary care provider for health related issues that may be the cause.  Many people with memory loss cannot express pain or concerns appropriately, so we become their “eyes and ears” to detect any conditions that may need medical attention. More info can be found on https://www.alz.org/

What sources of payment do you accept? Do you take Medicaid or Medicare?

We accept the following payment sources:

  • Private Pay: Including Long-Term Care Insurance and VA Aid & Attendance benefits.

  • Innovage PACE Program: Accepted upon admission.

  • Medicaid: Accepted only after a resident has privately paid for at least two years (subject to availability).

  • Note: Medicare covers medical insurance only and does not pay for assisted living rent or care.

More information about Medicaid and Medicare can be found here.

How much does it cost? Do you charge depending on the level of care?

Our rates are all-inclusive. Unlike many facilities, we do not have hidden fees or escalating charges for increased care needs. Your monthly rate includes care services, meals, snacks, laundry, and housekeeping. See more information at one of our blogs here.

Does Assisted Living on Broadway have other locations? Are you part of a national assisted living corporation?

Assisted Living on Broadway is a locally owned and operated memory care community. We are not owned by a large parent company. The RN Administrator/Owner is on site on a regular basis and manages the day-to-day operations. At present, our home in Littleton is our only location.

Can we bring our own furniture and personal items?

Absolutely. We strongly encourage families to bring familiar furniture, photos, and keepsakes to decorate the resident’s room. Creating a familiar environment is comforting and helpful for those with memory loss. We can provide a list of suggested items to bring upon move-in

What is the staff-to-resident ratio?

We pride ourselves on maintaining a high staff-to-resident ratio of 1:6. In many larger facilities, this ratio can be 1:12 or higher. Our lower ratio allows our caregivers to spend more quality time with each resident and provide truly personalized attention.

Can residents stay here if their care needs increase (End of Life/Hospice)?

Yes. Our goal is to allow residents to “age in place” so they do not have to move again as their condition progresses. We work closely with local Hospice agencies to provide palliative and end-of-life care, ensuring your loved one remains comfortable in their familiar home environment.

My loved one sometimes refuses to bathe or change clothes. How do you handle this?

Resistance to hygiene is very common in dementia. Our caregivers are trained in gentle, non-confrontational techniques to encourage cooperation. We focus on building trust, timing care for when the resident is most relaxed, and maintaining their dignity throughout the process. We never force care; instead, we step back and try again later.

Do you accept residents who wander or experience "sundowning"

Yes. Our community is specifically designed for these behaviors. Our secured environment prevents unsafe wandering, and our staff is trained to manage “sundowning” (confusion or agitation in the late afternoon) using redirection, calming activities, and adjusting lighting or noise levels to reduce anxiety.

How are medications managed?

Medication management is completely taken care of by our staff. We handle the ordering, storage, and administration of all prescription and over-the-counter medications in accordance with physician orders. This ensures your loved one takes the right medication at the right time, preventing missed doses or overdoses.

How will I be kept updated on my loved one’s well-being?

Because we are a small community, communication is direct and personal. We will notify you immediately of any significant changes in health or behavior (such as a fall or illness). For general updates, you are always welcome to call or text the Administrator or the house phone. We view our relationship with families as a partnership.
